Retiring in less than 4 years from the LCS? Give me a break.

Trust me not a total rant. I actually love watching the LCS splits and Worlds. But lets face it. The league had some GREAT and very unique players back then. Now it seems every team is watering down their roster with a bunch of "who the hell is this" name or "hey look...he looks Asian..lets recruit him" mentality. And for what? To BUY a win? Ok L.A Laker fans lol. I watched the LCS because teams were very cool to watch. Not just because of the wins. The names, the personalities and yes the mechanics. But more and more of these fun to watch competitors are retiring. Just at 3-4 years of LCS play. What? Seriously. I get you play a video game all day. Numerous matches but try building a bridge, coding a hospitality terminal, Nursing sick people all day...everyday. Then maybe i could understand early retirement. My point is retiring at 3-4 years is a joke. Your shelf life is small already so why bail so early? Do we need to setup a senior league for you old farts? I mean, if we need to lets do it.

They either have enough money, don't feel like they can compete, have gotten tired of the game, or have found something else they'd rather do.

All of those are understandable reasons for retiring a competitive event like this.

I don't follow LCS much, but I get the impression that most player's "retirements" aren't entirely(if at all) by choice.
