Something I hear people say ALL the time is stuff like Bronze is the same thing as silver Silver is the same as gold gold is the same thing as plat plat is the same thing as diamond.

  • and then of course "Just because your higher ranked doesn't mean your good" Now I noticed this comes from low elo much of the time (Probably to make themselves better about there elo) , But this is the shit imma bout to lay down. If bronze = silver and silver = gold and gold = plat and plat = diamond, then that means... bronze = silver = gold = plat = diamond ^ And quite frankly, that is just wrong. If you are silver you should be proud you are "Better" than being a bronze If you are gold you should be proud you are "Better" than being silver etc. Because you aren't just the "same" as the elo before you, you are better.

It's all true to a certain degree. Bronze 3 - Silver 4 are one and the same. Silver 5 - Gold 4 are one and the same. It's after that, that the major differences start to show. Difference between Gold 5 - Gold 1 is a bigger difference between Bronze 3 - Silver 4. At least, that's what I would've said until I hit Plat myself and realized it's still as bad as ever. Gold 5 - Plat 5 is one and the Same. Plat 5 - Diamond 5 is one and the same.

Now I know, 80% for a fact, Diamond 5 - Diamond 3 is one and the same. Diamond 3+ is where things REALLY start to ramp up. The difference between Diamond 3 - challenger is bigger than the difference between Bronze - Plat.

At any rate, reason I didn't list anything under B3 is because there are some serious monkeys under B3 (no offence to any one under B3).
