You're playing the lane with the least effect on the overall game, playing an early game champion and obviously not having a big enough impact to win.
I am a platinum 3s Renekton main and I've got hundreds of games on him the past two seasons in both 3s and 5s, let me give you some advice:

never rely on MIA - you need to watch the map and know where enemies are at all times. If you're not then you can't use TP effectively, if you're not using tp then you give up major map control. People who complain about MIA are bad players, don't be a bad player.

if you are "manhandling" Riven then why aren't you roaming and creating plays in other areas of the map? Why not TP bottom and turn a bad fight into a win, tower and dragon? If bottom is losing and their Jungler isn't camping you then why don't you kill Riven and take both top towers? If you're not doing anything with your lead or being fed then you may as well sit in fountain because it's pointless to have the advantage. Instead of bitching about horrible teammates why don't you ask yourself what you could have done to help?

never expect anyone else to win at all, ever. When I go into a game in a matchup I know I can win (most of them) I tell my teammates: just don't feed, I don't care if you win and I don't care if you lose tower, just don't die more than two times in laning and if you lose tower get a couple wards for the jungle. That's all I want, I don't care what their CS is, don't care if they get kills or towers. I just want to have time to gain an advantage and then win the rest of the lanes after I do.

remember that communication and grouping for towers is what wins most games. Farm doesn't matter, kills don't matter, dragon and baron don't matter. All that matters is destroying towers and their nexus. Also, listen to the better players on your team. Don't let your ego get in the way of winning, it isn't worth losing. If your 10-1 player says baron is a bad call or pings to group/run....LISTEN.
When you're silver five here is how you win games:
- get fed
- leave your lane
- camp the enemy teams best player
OR
- group and take towers if your team is stronger
In most cases the enemy team will either not group (free towers) or they will group and lose because you have the stronger team. Then you just stay grouped and push towers, silver teams will keep fighting when behind and all you have to do to win is ward and stay together.
Also - always take the EASIEST objective. Never push mid inhib if inner towers are up unless you ace them and it's free. Never base or go for baron or dragon when you can take towers, get towers THEN other objectives. Don't take baron unless it's free. Ever.
That's how you climb in silver.
