I haven't caught on yet. "Report player X" is just a meme right?
People report me after every single game (99% of the time) and I'm still here. This has been going on for the last 5-6 years. Is the report system broken or what?

Reports only trigger a review of the game.
If the review doesn't find any punishable behaviour has been committed, the report is invalidated and discarded.
Also, asking players to report someone is considered harassment and is a reportable behaviour in itself.
You won't get punished unless you do something worth punishing. If you report people who say things like that, chances are they'll get caught instead.
Generally the person saying "report x" is the toxic one
People who make false reports have basically worthless reports. Incedentally, the people who call for reports in chat tend to make a lot of false reports because their definition of troll is anyone who does anything they don't like
The myth is that the report system does not work, because the idiots that spam reports the most typically report things that never get people banned.
