Is by far the most heavily trafficked of the boards, yet, despite this, nothing from GD can make the front page. It is the only board absent from the search function. It has to compete with traffic from the misc board which has the ability to send posts to the front page and has a search function. And despite being known by us long time GD veterans as general discussion, is misleadingly labeled simply as "GD".

This seems like an extremely foolish thing to me at this point, having had time to acclimate to the boards for about a month now. These two boards need to be combined, entitled "general discussion", and board features need to work for it. It makes zero sense to have the most heavily trafficked community forum unable to grow properly in terms of community visitation due to the facts stated above. There's no reason to split the focus between these two forums, when the content within is of the same type, and to deny the more heavily populated and trafficked one the same functions as it's bastard offshoot.

Can we please rectify these problems by combining these two? It just makes sense that if the intended topics for each is identical then we should stop the inefficiency of having two things in place when one would be ideal and sufficient.

Edit: forgot to mention the complete absence of rioter presence within GD, the most heavily trafficked board. One would think that if rioters were intent on fostering an actual relationship with it's player base it would do so in the area in which the majority of it's player base could be found to be conversed with.

2nd edit: oh yeah, and please for the love of god frosthaven/tamat change the way quoting works so that I don't accidentally have this crap happen again where I try to edit my original post and somehow create a response instead because the color scheme and proximity cause issues. That's just silly.

I Don't know if combing these two forums would be the answer but I would like to see more rioter presence and a search function for GD

that said GD making it to the front page may not be a great idea,we do better when not too many people look at us when they don't wanna,we are a "off topic" board for a reason

I'd love it if GD could stay as far from the other boards as possible. It's a freaking zoo in there.

It feels clear at this point they don't WANT GD a part of the boards. They wanted it to die out or just stay on that one board since its contents aren't shown anywhere else but there. It's the reason they left the name GD so that only the people who already knew what it was would be the ones who would go to it.

This sounds extremely negative, but it's very much how it seems to me. Yes, they tried to accommodate features, but it's clear they want it separated from the rest of the boards. Did GD deserve it? Probably. However it just kills off a major part of the forum community.

All in all...yes I really wish they'd at least have a search function for the GD board.
