I'm sick of the server problems Can't reconnect to game - black screen

If one person has an issue connecting to the servers, then yeah, maybe it's his computer issue.

But if you can google the problem and find thousands of people with the same issue, then it's probably an issue with the servers. It's been around since 2011 and there are threads from 2015 about it too. And I'm not hating on riot, but I'm wondering why they let a problem like this persist for 5 years. I mean, all other bugs are usually dealt with and patched in a timely manner, like the tahm kench killing allies thing.

Oh yeah, can you not limit people to level 30 to post in forums that people actually read? I know that it will take about a week to get replies to this because, you know, nobody reads the miscellaneous forum. Us pre-30s have important bugs to report and things to share too.

I was able to reconnect the game after 20 minutes and switching computers. I shouldn't have to have access to 2 computers to be sure to connect to the game

I can google and find dozens of websites regarding the Kennedy and Lincoln assassinations being linked... but that doesn't mean they are. Disable your Windows Firewall - Profit.

I feel like you're conflating the servers and the client.

If it were a server problem, it would be far more wide-spread - we wouldn't be seeing "thousands of people" with the issue - you'd be seeing hundreds of thousands, if not millions.

It's far more likely an issue with your copy of the client. I can't say that I know enough to advise a fix for it, but the ones already mentioned here seem pretty likely culprits to me.

Try running the client in compatibility mode.

BTW: here's how you get the bug.

Step 1: have 500+ ping Step 2: champ select when the game says "game is about to begin..." Step 3: open google chrome or any other application on your computer just as the champ select screen disappears and loading screen is about to show up Step 4: click back to the LoL game, there is your black screen. your game won't load

I've been trying my best to avoid this, but as an avid multitasker, I tend to have a lot of windows and applications open and sometimes I forget

i appreciate the fact that Riot actually really does a good job fixing 99% of bugs, and normally it's okay if they miss one or two bugs because they're human and have limited resources and time, I understand that, but this one is serious because people (not only me, if you google "can't connect to game leaverbustered league of legends" you'll see a lot more of us) are getting punished because of it, so that's why I hope this one makes it to the priority list higher
