Let's start this off here, I'm a fairly new player to League, so I am just getting to know most of the community. Ironically, a week before this my chat was restricted due to an admitted player who said "me and all my friends are in a party, so we'll all report you" due to me telling them how not to feed, etc. So that being said, I just played two games in a row with players that both ignored pings/warnings and all sorts of verbal guides to not feed the opposing team. After they start complaining that their team is too hard to kill, I let them know because they were fed off of several kills of my teammates, they throw a fit. And of course, they do the exact opposite of what we say, then begin to retort saying I'm a fat f*ck and your mom is stupid, and "throw myself in a well".

Needless to say, this is the second of two games with inexperienced, rude and unhelpful teammates that even when they were losing, I was trying to give them pointers on how not to lose. They then threaten to go AFK because they didn't like me for some reason. I will admit that after 10 team fights on only ONE of the games, I said that our team was garbage, simply because our team wasn't functioning at all late game, save our support. Then after they threatened again to go AFK, I told them that I would report them.

Losing the game, I reported the ADC, since I noticed towards the end she was sitting in various parts of the map AFK, and decided that she wasn't trying to help our team. I find out that they were all friends, and reported me, and now my account is suspended?

I find it highly ironic that Riot Games is trying to "eliminate" toxic players, when all they're doing is enabling players like the ones that were saying to go "f*ck" your mom" and "throw yourself in a well", and suspending the ones who were actually trying to help them. I was immediately suspended after the game, which means it had to have been automatic after the game. You guys need to fix your suspension system, or whoever's running it, because it's very much not working. If anybody and his group of friends doesn't like somebody, then they can just go and report one person they don't like, and they get suspended.

Sounds less of a disciplinary system, and more like mob rule. There should be some sort of appeal or overturn, because whoever is in control of these suspensions isn't paying attention.

** Again, as a final note to the Admins, if this seems out of line to post in this section, then not quite sure where else to put this. It seems to be a problem with the disciplinary action system on the actual game, and I would be befuddled if Riot didn't want some honest feedback from their players to help better their game and the gaming community

Two things.

1: It doesn't matter how your teammates are behaving. You are judged on your words and actions, and yours alone. You're expected to be a respectful member of your team and to show good sportsmanship at all times. I realize that not everyone does that, in fact very few people do, but that is the standard in place. If you get reported and do not meet that standard, you will get punished.

2: You are level 16. You're the definition of inexperienced. Relax. Try to be chill. Mute the assholes, and play some music. Everyone has shit games, you just gotta forget them.

I would agree with you to a point on that, except that my own replies were in my own defense, due to my teammates abusive and undermining words. Sure, you can take some of the things of what I said out of context, but the harsh nature of my own discipline is laughable compared to what my teammates did and said in the game.

I don't believe in fairness, but I do believe that when talking about justifying Riot's actions, they should also take into account what was said to me, before going ahead and doing what they did. As a gamer on both platform, and computer for a while (I've long played on my PC for years on Survival, FPS, etc.) and having experience in the different communities, I find no justifiable reason for my own words, which at the harshest were:

"this team is garbage", when at the time, my team was telling me to throw myself in a well, threatening, then actually going AFK, and intentionally feeding the enemy team.

I understand that I'm not in the whitest of light here since I did make at least one comment that could've been considered negative, but I don't think that at any point Riot should look at only the person who was reported (I did report my teammates too, by the way) and punish them, and only because that person was the one who was reported. It seems that it matters more of how many times you are reported, then the severity or even your actions during the game.

No, retaliation is not defense. "Defense" would have been muting the players, to avoid any more of their harassment. That's what defense is, trying to avoid or mitigate attack. What you did was aggressively display negative attitude and harassment, egging on your teammates, instead of focusing on the game. That's not okay. Other communities may have different policies on that, but this one does not believe that negative behavior is acceptable in any context.

I can assure you that lacking any death threats of excessive homophobia/racism/sexism, your actions from more than one game have led to this suspension. Every account has an unseen toxicity score, if you will. Your behavior from all of your games add up to a chat restriction, a suspension, etc. You also weren't treated differently than any other player would have been- whether he be in a premade, a high paying customer, or an LCS player. If you really believe that you were not toxic in most of your games, I'd highly suggest sending in a ticket to Riot support- I have seen them undo suspensions.

Lastly, while I can't link any source (which is why I didn't say it in the original post), a lot of people say that only one report per game will be considered. It doesn't matter if one person or nine people report someone, it'll always have the same effect. That's why asking people to report other people is not just degrading but also a waste of time. So don't worry about that, just mute and move on.

I'll never understand why we have a community that defends a system that punishes people for caring about the integrity of this game more than the people who damage that integrity.

See, I don't think I can even begin to understand that argument. Primarily because it implies that I don't care about the integrity of the game - which I do.

Then you should want the instigators, not the retaliators, purged from the game.

You can want both gone.

Instigators may be the original source of the problem but retaliators feed them and escalate situations. If no one would respond to them most of them would shut up. Most of the "retaliation" I see is in response to innocuous things anyway.

i just hope you wernt being rude back. you may not have being watching their lanes to know why they died maybe they were camped or got dived maybe they were continiously engageing after they lost several fights. i personally cant play my lane while knowing exactly what happening in every lane and how they all cs their minions i just do my lane and watch the minimap ocationally. now if i see an ally on the mini map overlapping the enemy minions over and over and over and dieing i dont use the word feeding its offensive i just tell them to back off stop engageing and play safe and i dont do it more than twice in 5 mins cause on the real i just try to push where ever my teamates arnt if they are like that because when they like that they only looking out for them selves and dont care about the teamwork in the game. and i dont give up the game because the players are stupid mostly because i believe in my skill to hold out and make the enemy slip up and maybe my team may accidently work together rather than some one walking around in the middle of a fight not hitting anyone then they run away save them selves like their 1 life is gonna stop 5 champions
