When will Riot fix the "Black Screen" on champ select?
I mean, it's not like you deserve a leaverbuster when the game basically glitches out. But hey we all know that Riot's punishments are fair, right?

This is ridiculous. I got kicked out from the game yesterday during champ select (just as I'd entered the champ select screen) and when i logged back on i got a time penalty... Played a few games after it goes of - it's fine.
Today I try to log in, wanting to play 1 ranked game, and the screen goes black during champ select again... When logging back in - 30 minutes penalty.

Please do your job and fix your game as apparently I'm not the only player experiencing this. At least figure out a way to not give penalties when people are experiencing technical difficulties because of the launcher and not because they want to ''dodge'' ...
Just as another data point, my champ select screen just now was completely blank and I was forced to close the client to do anything. The social buttons on the bottom right were the only things I could see on the screen besides the close and minify buttons on the top right. Everything else was black. I'm running Yosemite, 10.10.5.

Could you check the relevant section on the Common Tech Problem Fixes thread here (matchmaking) and perform the steps listed? You'll want to test your game in a Custom if possible so you don't incur penalties. Let me know if anything helps.

Okay... I really find this very annoying to have to do EVERY TIME A PATCH COME OUT.... I'm on Windows 10 (if that makes a difference) and I rarely had this problem until the update to Windows 10 but every time I get to Champion Select, the screen is black. Social buttons work fine, but there's no sound, no images to select. Just a black screen. To fix this, I have to go into the ---
Riot Games folder> Legend of Legends> RADS> projects> lol_air_client> releases> 0.0.1.189 (most recent release for 3/20/16)
From there, I have to delete the [ releasemanifest ] & [ S_OK ] files. Then I have to open the [ deploy ] folder.
From there, I have to delete the [ lib ], [ META-INF ] folders, the [ LolClient ] Application and [ Shockwave Flash ], [ locale.properties ] and [ lol.properties ] files.
After that I have to REDOWNLOAD THE CURRENT PATCH.... Which takes about 15 minutes sometimes... And that works 75% of the time... I shouldn't have to do this though. I get a leave every time a new patch comes out because I have to test the thing to see if it's gonna work right or not.
