Observations and Thoughts on Changes
Having played this game for years now I have noticed a paradigm shift in the way Riot conducts its business practices in game. When I first started playing there were double IP free weekends (which you didn't need to be in a party to get), Riot also gave you a free skin on some holidays and for some special occasions. These options have changed to the increased IP rewards ONLY if you are in a party (doesn't make a whole bunch of sense), and instead of gifting a random free skin for being a good boy or girl you get special "personal store deals"(which you still have to give them money in some form to properly enjoy). Like that one free skin a year was going to break their bank anyway. Also, we went from cool skins to chroma "skins" (I put skins in quotes because they really are just a crappy pallet swap). Meanwhile, Tencent (owner of Riot Games) continues the cash grab with new champs that are just so unbalanced that they must have been doing some major drugs when Riot was forced to come up with the idea. I know that the addition and rework of champions does keep the game evolving but, players feel sort of looked over when it comes to their input. I know the replay option has been complained and griped about for years and there is a reason for that... because it's a good idea. The tribunal doesn't work at all, it never has regardless of what Riot will argue to the contrary. There needs to be a system where individuals who judge cases can actually see what is going on and not just base everything off of chat logs. Toxic chat is not the only thing that can ruin a game of LoL and we've all experienced that. League has also empowered the duo queue(You can't ff with 3/5 players voting yes and a duo voting no 60% is a majority btw) and this does lead to arguments in teams. Lastly, why are there not more featured game modes? Yordle Brawl (Where you can only pick yordles), Battle of the Lasers (Where you can pick Lux, Viktor, or Velkoz), and a sandbox mode would not lead to more toxicity (which is the excuse Riot gave as to why there is no sandbox mode). If you guys read this all the way thanks for your patience and feel free to share your thoughts and opinions. I would really like to know if other people think the same way I do.
