Who was your first champion?

I started playing League of Legends a few years ago. I would still say I have a lot to learn about the game but, I totally love that! When I first started the first champion I ever played was Ashe and even though I was totally terrible my friends were soooo impressed by the fact that I would land all my Ashe arrows. I eventually moved on to using Annie for most of my leveling experience.

I still play Ashe as my main ADC champ and I am probably most comfortable playing here. (I get some sick ults with that chica) I did find that after there was some changes to Annie I had a harder time playing her. I still sometimes drop my W as if it weren't connected to her.

Who was your first champion in league? Have you stuck with them still? If you started over as a new player do you think you would still want to pick the same champ!?

My first champion was Annie . I played her almost exclusively until 30. I dropped her for Lux, at least as far as mid lane goes. I swapped over to being a support main in season three and picked up Sona, and later Nami .

If I had to start over, I probably would have picked someone with a shield / heal, 'cause let's be honest, I was terrible and needed all the help I could get. xD

Well, weve all been with Ashe for the tutorial, the dirty hooe...

But my first was Nocturne, it was 2 weeks after he had been released, so, he was damn well brokenly OP. Good times. Funny thing is though, had no idea how to use his ult. I would press r then right click and nothing would happen, had no idea i had to press r a second time for the targeting to appear.

Took me like 15 games and a Twisted fate video to figure it out.

I started with Twitch back in season 3, I think. He was a pretty solid ADC back then, dishing out 20-30 kills in a game. Still love him, but the thrill of playing a pure ADC has mostly worn off for me. These days I main Sion Toplane or Malphite Support. Love that post-6 feeling of being at the absolute center of a teamfight and tanking everything.

I knew nothing. Me and LoL were nothing. I just got the one guy that was cheap and looked cool. Warwick was my first but he was so complicated at the time. I looked for another and ran into Udyr and he's been my main up until I hit level 30.

I first played as Irelia just at the beginning of the Draaaaaaaaaven Draven patch because she was a free week pick, still remember facing Darius as my first lane opponent...and getting bodied XD

Though I rarely play her anymore, I do alright and still hate fighting Darius no matter what champ I am that game. And honestly looking back, I still probably would have chosen her over the others available, as tough as she was to learn.

The first champ I actually unlocked was Lux, followed soon after by Ahri. I still play and enjoy both to this day; they're basically my go-to midlaners.

I've been here for a while and when I first started, I used Sivir . I found out fast that she wasn't my kind of champion. My friends then say I should play DrMundo . That didn't turn out well so I decided to pick up a random champion and try it. I picked and just absolutely LOVED playing as Veigar . Man I miss Meki Pendant.

Edit: Kind of feel like linking his old splash though I never figured out why you could see his nose but but not the rest of his face. https://gs1.wac.edgecastcdn.net/8019B6/data.tumblr.com/c08b8eac85c48f7fa7e17d691af18bfe/tumblr_inline_mn8d5kNTw61qz4rgp.jpg

I started out with Ashe, moved on to Sivir/Malphite/Annie before finally settling on XinZhao. Played him pretty much non-stop till I got to mid-twenties when everyone was telling me to play other roles and champions too, picked up Katarina and absolutely loved her before trying out others like Vi/Irelia/Nami. Someone told me to play Akali and I ended up playing her for months on end. I still XinZhao when I can cos I still enjoy playing him but most of the time its Katarina or Akali!

My first champion was also Ashe , and continues to be one of my favorite AD carrys with her being my first. After I played Ashe for a while I ended up playing some AD Annie (BTW she sucks really bad, talk about noob) then eventually getting 30 with AP Annie, Yasuo , Vi , and Lulu.

exiledFromBadmen9/22/2014, 4:01:26 PM1 votes

My first champion was Kayle(I didn't count Ashe and Garen from tutorials :D), before then she was nerfed to the ground. I still play her as support and I don't suck :P

My main champions are: Elise, Evelynn and Shyvana as jungler, Leona, Kayle and Morgana as support, Tristana as ADC. I don't play mid or top, I suck as mid or top :/

BewareTheDragon19/22/2014, 4:29:06 PM1 votes

First Champion I tried playing was Khazix, but the first champion I unlocked was Karthus after nearly losing a game to him as a bot.

tau439/22/2014, 5:19:40 PM1 votes

I think the first champ I started playing really seriously was Veigar mid back in last season. I got him because of his story, then had to lane him against a Karma, the nightmare that was. Which lead to my second favorite champ Karma, who I mained as a supp until I could afford Leona.

Jax Pre dodge removal.

Kryktal9/22/2014, 6:32:13 PM1 votes

the good ole days. I remember me and Fiddlesticks use to hang out alot, but then I grew to level 20, and from 20-30 it was ALL ABOUT THE CAIN Nasus . (And the stacking of hearts of gold(so much$$$).) after that I mained Nidalee, (I mean look at these season 2-3 nid stats (http://na.op.gg/summoner/champions/userName=Kryktal)

I was always pretty proud of that :p

2nd Fiddle9/22/2014, 6:35:08 PM1 votes

Tristana in those days I treated the 2.5 attack speed cap as my personal goal every game.

ShadowKnight12249/22/2014, 7:56:29 PM1 votes

I got Ashe as my first, but I don't really count her since I quickly grew out of her. The first champion I mained was Lissandra , though I got Vayne around the same time (I thought she had such a cool lore but then I learnt about the "Vayne players" and I was like "nope, don't want to be one of those people" so I never touched her again).

Smilesccsc9/22/2014, 8:02:04 PM1 votes

My first two champs were Jax and Xerath

Toa of Death9/22/2014, 8:27:29 PM1 votes

When I first started, the first champ I bought was Kayle played her for a while but then I switched her out for Chogath. Still playing Chogath to this day and I never get sick of him! You just can't beat the feeling of being larger than everyone in the game at level 16 with 6 stacks.

DocRedgrave9/22/2014, 9:34:23 PM1 votes

First one was Skarner.

WeFlyNoLie9/22/2014, 9:35:53 PM1 votes

My first champion that I locked in as was Kayle, and I had no idea who she was or what she did, or even the fact that she was a she....

My first champion I played exclusively or mained was Gangplank. Gangplank

Bare in mind, this was season 1, when Gangplank still had the ability to deny minions and I thought that was just hilarious. Playing mid GP and denying every siege minion put your lane opponent at a huge EXP disadvantage .

My friends who started before me told me he was a trash tier champ and had nothing to offer. I saw otherwise, I mean come on! He's a pirate! How can a pirate not be awesome?

I still play him to this day, not exclusively, but he's still one of my go-to top laners because his global presence is unmatched.

Talon and Shaco

First true main: Fiora

Current and future main : Riven

Chaoscontrol9/22/2014, 10:56:53 PM1 votes

I've started playing pre season 1. My first champ was Katarina. I read about all the champions available back then, but this one seemed so different. FAST gameplay and no mana sounded awesome and boy was I happy with that purchase. Her ultimate used to be max damage on 1/2/3 targets, depending on skill level... :D

I used to play her A LOT. Over the past years I must have played like 2000 games with her... I still play her :P

Xeneth9/23/2014, 3:19:43 AM1 votes

My first was Nasus ... I saw this guy and Amumu and figured I'd make a theme of it and try to play as the Egypt inspired champs, even used to have the double lazer pyramids summoner icon set (until the friend that introduced the game to me IRL finally got on my friends list and I saw that he picked the same one, I had to change it to feel original heh)

Hilariously, having never played a MOBA prior to this one, I HATED being Nasus and abandoned the whole egypt champ idea because I didn't understand what last hits were yet.

ModWulf Helhammer9/23/2014, 3:28:19 AM1 votes

The first champ that I genuinely enjoyed playing (and actually played correctly!) was Katarina. I had bought a few others before her, but really had no idea how to use them, I.E. playing Nasus on mid lane and really having no order in what I bought (just got whatever seemed cool, or what I needed). I seem to remember thinking that ability power made all you're abilities stronger....silly level 5 me back then :)

12tales9/24/2014, 9:31:54 AM1 votes

Ryze was my champion of choice in the tutorial, and actually remains one of the only laners I can actually play semi-decently.

Kayle was the first champion I bought with IP (shortly followed by Sivir), but I don't really play them anymore. I did essentially main Kayle until around level 25, tho, at which point I realized that I was a jungler at heart.

RiotEvilSpider9/24/2014, 5:54:48 PM1 votes

Mine was Mundo. I still play him from time to time, but usually as a non-meta Mid or Support. I think Mundo has quite a bit of personality, and he was a pretty good champion to learn basic league mechanics with.

Siachi9/24/2014, 6:04:27 PM1 votes

I remember my first champion (Outside of the tutorials) being Twisted FateTwistedFate : In fact, seeing the Twist of Fate Cinematic and knowing that he'd be on that particular week's free rotation is what made me start up, I feel. (Long story short, when your initials are ACE, you might grow a tendency towards card themes).

It's a bit of a shame too, because I haven't played him as much recently, college classes kicking my a** being a factor in me not playing as much recently in general. Maybe just because I don't play mid much, or I found myself forced into support a lot early on, so Lulu ended up being the champ I grew more experienced with.

KogMaw in a 1v1 vs Nikkone on {{Champion:28}}

Worgslarg9/24/2014, 6:24:13 PM1 votes

Zed .

Was so bad at him, I daren't remember it.

Next came Ryze mid. I soon found out that ryze is ill equipped to deal with annie and miss fortune, the 2 most common midlanes i faced at those early levels.

First champ I was actually good at was Nasus Got 200+ stacks in my first game( vs players), before I knew that last hitting a creep was what gave you gold.

Vusio9/24/2014, 6:44:23 PM1 votes
  1. First champ Annie when I reached 30 went too TwistedFate but now i main top more then mid playing JarvanIV and MonkeyKing my mid laners being Zed Katarina Karma

Twisted Fate TwistedFate... i love cards... but was never good with him.. .:D next ones were udyr and rammus right after... Rammus (stilll pre-30) Udyr and i stuck to jungling since then... :)item 1039 summoner 11

ModPrandine9/24/2014, 7:18:09 PM1 votes

For me it was Ashe Ashe the Frost Archer for a very long time. I then started playing as a bunch of other champions that I really liked playing as as well, including but not limited to Varus Varus (I actually had a no death game of ARAM playing as him one time as well, thanks in part to my teammates there of course) , Malzahar Malzahar and Sona Sona as well as Anivia Anivia too as well just to name a few of the champions here and there.

Kinjishi9/24/2014, 7:35:24 PM1 votes

The first champion that I played was Garen Garen . Played him and Kha`zix Khazix quite a bit to try and get used to the game in the first two weeks. The first champion that I bought was Twisted Fate TwistedFate . He's just so fun to play. : )

Decrit9/24/2014, 9:00:53 PM1 votes

When i started i was into boysh girls and big swords, and Riven was free :D

... i sucked. hard.

Then i fell in love with Veigar Veigar , he became my first champion uncloked and had a long run since!

Sona My first champion was Sona of course. I joined LoL to play her and she's the only champion I wanted to play for a very long time. I stuck with her up until the nerfs 2 months ago. Now I'm saddened having to abandon her to the same fate Lestara met. I find myself playing many other champions instead now, like Ahri. Ahri

The first champ I ever played was Viktor , and found him absolutely beautiful, the skill cap was waaay out of my league but that's what I found great about him, and all the quotes and lore buffed up my appeal. The first champ I ever got was Fiddlesticks and that made me just love the idea of jumping onto people and doing tons of damage^. Several months and a few other champs later I finally got Vik again and have loved him ever sense <3.
