Talk about "Legacy" skins?

Hello all,

It is no secret Riot is giving a large number of skins "Legacy" status. In addition to this, it is no secret many skins already have "Legacy" status. Today I began wondering about what it means for a skin to be "Legacy" after unlocking Bad Santa Veigar from a Mystery Skin box and was hoping we could talk about these special skins. What is your ( the reader's ) favorite "Legacy" skin, how many are there, which ones are the rarest? Just share anything you want regarding the skins because I'm curious what the community is willing to share about them.

Looking forward to hearing from you, Ephamenne.

What does it mean for a skin to be a legacy skin? It means it's an old skin, normally for a champion who has quite a few skins that is really just taking up space in the shop. Some of them like the old holiday skins were ones that were only supposed to be available for that 1 holiday season and were brought back to be a yearly thing. Other than that it's a lot of recolor skins, skins not many people are buying, skins that are just taking up space. Riot isn't expecting to sell a bunch more of these skins by letting them sit around in the store, but if they bring the skin back a few times a year with a good discount they'll get more sales out of it. These are skins that can easily be discounted multiple times a year and having "Legacy" skins not be available in the shop means they aren't eligible for the weekly sales. How often would your favorite skins go on sale if you had 2x as many skins in the shop? Never.

I don't really have a favorite Legacy skin. I guess it might be Tempest Janna because I love all of Janna's skins, maybe Freiljord Ashe because it's a really nice recolor but most of the champions that I own all their skins for, don't really have any legacy skins.
