Because unranked matchmaking is all kinds of screwed up.

I feel his pain. On my level 19 smurf teambuilder decides to put me up against level 30 gold 3's (Not smurfs, actual gold accounts) because even though I am a bronze5 and I don't even have access to T3 runes, apparantly i should be able to have a fair fight against a gold 3.

Well, to be fair, smurf accounts typically get matched higher over time. Were you winning a lot against newbies, or did you go even because you were introducing your friends to league?

im not too sure what is going on, but i think its basically a new account. probably only playing bot games to level up and going into normals for the first time? again we only have this one tiny pic so i have no idea whats wrong with that, maybe they are finally ready to play normals, maybe they are queuing with friends?
