@IronStylus: Visual love for Galio?

Galio has one of the coolest looking models in the game. Perhaps a tad bit outdated, but still cool nonetheless. I don't think he needs a VU yet, or in a long time, but what I think he DOES need... is a Texture Update.

This is his splash art, as we all know. Awesome and badass, yes? But then, after the loading screen, a rather huge disappointment hits you in the face.

It's way too bright and messy! Galio most CERTAINLY has a darker tone of colors in his splash art, and I don't think it's just the lighting! Perhaps you could give Galio a TU and make his colors a bit darker, and less... well, messy? Having all those interesting and cool rocky details in his splash, and then having an awkward bright cyan skin that doesn't look that much like stone can be really disappointing to see. I absolutely LOVE Galio's design, he's probably the most unique fantasy Gargoyle design I've ever seen, but he could be so much more!

I agree with this. Galio is an easy candidate to get for a stealth texture upgrade like Rammus/Anivia.

While we're at it, Malphite Alistar and Jax could all receive texture updates and be pretty well off for a VU. Those are the only ones I could probably say have a model/silhouette at the moment that don't need an upgrade so much. ( Galio included)

I think Jax needs a proper VU. His cape looks like cardboard and his model is less than satisfactory, IMO. But I agree on Alistar and Malphite. Maybe a couple of animation tweaks on Alistar to make him look less "twitchy", too.

Perhaps Nocturne and Renekton too?

Nocturne and Renekton are waaaaaaay far off to be talking about VUs. The reason I mentioned those three is due to them being part of the early, original champion line-up. (Whereas Renek and Noc were around far less time).

I mean while we're talking about it, DrMundo 's tongue color doesn't match his splash art (Since beta), Kassadin is WAAAAY too thin, Zilean has proportions that would make any artist weep and the "feet" epidemic ( Ryze Taric Pantheon Singed Sion ) that makes certain champions feet either resemble slices of pizza or just gigantic fat feet that resemble toys.

Not that I blame Riot for any of this. From where they started, these models fit the bill.

Nah, I meant Texture Updates for Noc and Renekton. Though I think IronStylus mentioned something about tweaking Renekton's face to look more like his splash? Can't remember for sure.

And now that you mentioned it, I'd love to see a VU for Ryze soon. I feel like he has a lot of potential.

Ryze I could see having a VU either sooner or later. Very iconic look, easy to update and it probably isn't nearly as intensive as others. But as such, he's possibly a "back of the line" project as he is so well defined.

Yeah, I'd expect champs like Sion, Taric, Twitch and Kassadin to be on the top of the list right now. But then again, they could make a VU for Ryze between the bigger VU's. He seems like, like IronStylus calls it, a "low-risk VU". I doubt they'd change him too much if they gave him a VU.

I respect that you're asking for a TU instead of a VU. I'm not saying he couldn't use a VU, everyone can, but you are asking for just a TU and now I'm like "huh. A TU actually IS a good idea for Galio". In other words, you have my upvote

I'm totally all for a Taric VU, but I don't think it'd take too much of their time to make a Galio TU in the meantime.

Texture updates usually don't take as much time or resources as a full blown VU. We got Rammus and Anivia TUs out of nowhere, simply because somebody at Riot was like "Hey I think I'll work on some textures for this champion since they don't really need a full blown Update."

I'm ok with Blitz having wonky feet. He was never meant to be a battle-bot. Taric, in contrast, needs a full VU, and fast.

He got an updated splash a while ago, next to Yi's relaunch. His model is the original, and is very dated. Hes on their radar for sure.

Not a bad idea, but I see other things as being bigger priorities. I agree that the yellow is really awkward to look at and could go down a few shades.

Yellow & Cyan is one hella awkward color combination.
