A support that provides no vision

In my last game, I had a Nautilus that was adamant that he didn't have to ward. He wasn't the top laner, he wasn't the jungler, but he was the support. So I said, "It's your job to get sightstone first and ward the area, especially baron and dragon." And he said "I'm a tank, not a blitzcrank. It's not my job." I'm just beyond the dumb speak.

all you can do is upgrade your trinket and do it yourself.

Cool story bro... surprisingly enough vision is everyone's responsibility not just the supports...

he clearly doesnt understand that everybody, regardless of role or champion, should be warding (well i guess if you're kalista you dont have to because you can use your w, but she should still be using a trinket as well)

  1. Don't bother arguing
  2. Ask he at least upgrades trinket asap
  3. Upgrade your own trinket asap
  4. Deal with it the best you can, play safer and avoid playing with him again

As long as he isn't attacking minions then you can control the creep wave to move closer to your tower.

Vision is actually something up to everyone on the map, being the ADC doesn't exclude you from being responsible for providing some vision on the map. He's also wrong in that he is in fact support so be warding and such, but first item sightstone isn't 100% accurate 100% of the time either. With Nautilus I figure out whether I need to stay with my ADC, say they're the type that actually needs to be spoon fed and protected. I go sightstone first. If they're not and I'm able to roam, I look for Mobility boots and I'll purchase individual wards to keep the ADC safe while I'm gone.

Clearly you both are at fault. Him for not warding at all. You for thinking that a sightstone is madatory on support. Upgraded trinket and still put out the maximum amount of wards. The fact that you said "He wasn't the top laner, he wasn't the jungler," implies that you don't think that they need to ward as much as support do.

Yes sups are supposed to engage in the vision wars. You are 100% right about that.

But you know what you didn't mention? How you, in any other role, can upgrade your trinket to something virtually as good as a sight stone for as little as 250 gold! Supports honestly shouldn't even have to bother with sight stone in this golden era of vision.

If you want the vision, you can buy it. Yeah it's the supports job but honestly you can do it almost just as well.

It's not the supports job to ward. Sightstone is a useless item and gives a shitty amount of health. Every single support buying a sightstone is useless mid and late game because they have 0 fuxking gold. It's everyone's job to ward
