Any reason to report?

So I joined a game where all the pics were terrible, it was something like ez top, kat bottom, ahri (me) mid, karthus bot, and a panth jg. We join the game and karthus feeds, katarina rages and we all start shaming her in all chat. Anyway post game I ask to report her. No one reported her. I mean why should they? Other than the occasional chat ban, nothing really happens from what I've seen. Hell kat even asked them to report her because she knew this. This may be common knowledge but the tribunal system is terrible. Hell! Whenever I go to do the tribunal, it's always on recess and I'm not getting a punishment right now that I know of...

95% of all players are not banned, restricted, or punished in any way, shape or form. That, I think is a horrible rate that riot should defiantly not be proud of. (but my opinion is beyond the point, back to the topic.)

if 95% of players are not banned, 5% are (duh). Therefore, the chance of avoiding a toxic team mate due to the punishing system is (team mates/players (for out of 5 for the extremely special people)) *5% (duh) or 2%.

In other words, the tribunal punishes 1/50 potential toxic team mates.

50% of the player base is in bronze. therefore, every 1/100 bronze games, you will deal with one less toxic player (on your team).

Although this rate may seem very low (and it is) it is still a very important rate. Without people participating in the reporting system, there will be a lot more toxicity, and FAR FAR less extremely toxic players.

The tribunal clearly doesn't serve to remove your every day asshole from the system very well, but at least participating in it can help the community out a lot more than mathematically visible.
