Gangplank Rework Silver Serpents Question

Okay so just a quick question if anyone knows the answer. When Gangplank uses parrrley on his barrels it can pillage gold. My question is will it also earn silver serpents or is that only pure parrrley kills?

The barrel itself doesn't give gold/silver to Gangplank.
