Could the new LoL client come to Linux?

Now that Riot is creating a new LoL client that doesn't run on Adobe Air, is it possible that League could possibly run on Linux in the near future? Currently I use a windows computer that is dual booting Windows 10 and Ubuntu 15.10, and I love Ubuntu, however I find myself booting into Windows more often simply because I have a better experience of playing LoL on it.

Running League of Legends is possible on Linux, and it runs pretty well, however it's not without its constant bugs, crashes, and overall un-optimal experience.

Please consider making the client compatible with Linux, as I'm sure there are people in the same situation as me, in fact I already know a couple myself.

The population that uses Linux is so small it would be a complete waste of time/money for Riot to develop a compatible client for it....sorry. As a MAC user myself, I understand not being able to play certain games/having to dual boot windows on my mac to be able to play certain games. However, there are a lot more Mac users (commercially, at least) than there are Linux users, so it is often profitable to develop Mac clients. Linux is a ways away.
