So, if jax gets fed, in the bad circumstance that he does, you literally disabled the only item that can counter jax other than ability counters or building straight health and armor and that point BotRK melts through the health and armor pen goes right through, this is a mode thats supposed to be fun, but its no fun when you can't counter someone at all.

I can see a few like Frozen Heart for the attack speed reduction. I own Jax, I barely ever play him though, so its just confusing.

Jax only really ever has 10% crit chance and the magic damage on his auto attacks isn't going to be effected by thornmail's passive or armor. Randuin's and Frozen Heart work well against Jax, but that doesn't mean you will be able to 1v1 him on any given champion, it just increases your likelihood of wearing him down.
Now having no Thornmail for Tryndamere and Yasuo, that's a larger issue for Twisted Treeline.
hOrnn1 votes^ well jax deals alot of mixed damage, items like omen are good vs him because they slow his attack speed, his best stat, due to his passive.
so omen + spirit visage would be good defensive items vs jax, like i said thornmail was never on TT.
