CONTEXT: The game was a 3v5 since our gp and mf had left in the middle. Upon asking the enemy team to report them as well, I was met with "fuck you" and "no"s. One of them even felt the need to type "gg ez" at the end of the game and in the post-game lobby. I blacked out the enemy's name since I didnt want to show their names without permission. (I Was the Azir).

"GG EZ" sends shivers down my spine. Drives me nuts. No matter how easy the game was, you should humbly celebrate your victory with yourself and your team, and thank the other team for a good game. No matter if I go 0/10 or 10/0, my end-game message will always be "GG".

Well, not everybody is an asshole.. just most of them. I've met some nice people over the years, and I'm even friends with one of them in real life AFTER meeting him in LoL, but then again, that was Season 2.

Why not? They should, if two people afk they should have 8 reports each.

I always try to report enemy afkers because it's shitty when it happens, I know the feeling, so why should they get away with it?

They won't get away with it if the system detects the afk and their entire team reports them. Not having the enemy team do so won't change it.

And if someone afk's on the enemy team, I'd report them anyway for making everyone's experience worse. Someone telling me to won't change that, and plenty of people are set in their ways when it comes to afk's. They will or won't, but asking them to isn't the best options.

Fair enough, if people won't report for an afk on the enemy team, I guess it's not the end of the world. But in the OP's particular case they were really shitty about it. They could have just said nothing and not reported, I don't think anyone would take issue with that.

It's not their fault your guys left. What I do: when people cry about AFK's in /all, I respond " I don't really care" because AFK's are a fact of life, just happy it isn't on my team.

I understand it wasn't their fault that we had two people leave, but then again, it wasn't our fault. It's not like we asked them to leave since the gp lost lane. Imagine if it WAS you though, you'd be pretty pissed i bet. I didn't even yell at anyone or rage at the other team if you look at the screenshots, in fact, I even put a please and a <3 at the end. Regardless of the afks, the "gg ez" bothered me so much. This guy had so much fun crushing us in a 3v5 that he felt the need to rub it in by saying we put no competition and the game was easy for him. Also, the "fuck you dude" came out of nowhere and was unnecessary in the situation. Thanks for your time.

Afk happens on my team all the time, and that is how people treat me. I dont laugh or make insults, i simply tell them that i get afk's on my team frequently therefore i have no pity for them. Also, I cannot stand people who say "ez" in a 5v4 and you should have reported him.

So if you get 2 afks in your team and the other team gloats about your misforturne, then you would most likely care about it since they are in your team, but thats how you act, you may not care about thier afk but atleast report the afks. Also don't act like a douchbag for that

It's not just tattling. It's about bringing justice to those who ruin games for everyone. By saying "gg ez" during and after the game, the other team was showing their indifference to the assholes that left the game, and by definition, were assholes too.

Correction; reporting is like calling the police and telling them who's committing assault or hit-and-runs or something, and I'll explain why.

Speeding, while it does increase the danger for everyone around by a slight bit, is generally more hostile to the person doing it. As such, being bad is like speeding- it's bad for the person doing it and if everyone does it (or a large number) it will harm others, but at that point it's no longer the problem, but the norm. However, hit-and-runs or similar crimes are, if they go uncaught, only harmful to the victim. AFK's/DC's are a similar case- if they aren't caught/reported, they only really harmful towrads the people on the receiving end; the 3-4 left on that team. If they don't get reported for this behavior, it's like them getting away with murder (on a small scale)- they don't have consequences, but the people who've been wronged suffer for it.

In terms of affected people, it's similar.

In terms of actual effect on said people, it's not even close.

Small-scale robbery is probably closer (and the item being like.... a five dollar bill or a pack of gum or something.)

Reporting is like being in elementary school and telling the teacher when kids take your lunch money. It's just common sense and since you yourself are powerless to punish the thief, you ask someone else to help. Sure, you can call the kid that told on you a tattle tale all you want, but it was still wrong to steal someone's lunch money and that kid was just acting in his own best interest by telling a teacher.

I hated when kids used to say being a tattle tale is bad. It's only bad when you harp and tell on every little thing, even the things that aren't even bad or punishable. But when someone ruins a situation for others by breaking the rules, you freakin tell someone about it.

This is why we have a bully problem in this country. People won't "tell on people" because they don't want to be a "tattle tale". Oh wah, it's usually the right thing to do, get over it.
