Kicking bruiser while they are down

Bruiser fell oout of favor quite awhile ago and the past three champs they came out with are pretty much saying "we don't want bruiser back." Kalista, Azir, and Gnar are all heavy anti bruiser champs. Kalista is literally untouchable by most bruisers because of her unlimited hops. Azir can just zone them. Gnar will just infinitely slow you while doing percent health damage and hop away if you do manage to get to him. Bruisers are my favorite champs to play but its so hard right now.

The entire tank archetype is getting shot in the foot with the recent influx of %max hp damage on champs. Who thought this was a good idea?

The whole point of having set hp and set damage is that: if you want to survive longer, you get more hp; if you want to take people down faster, you get more damage.

%max hp is just a bullshit mechanic that A)makes little sense to begin with (how do you justify that you hurt tougher people more and weaker people less so that you chunk them both down at the same rate?) and B) serves only to hamstring tanks and make their only positive quality null and void.

Seriously, when you define the tank archetype, you pretty much always say the same thing:

Low DPS Low Mobility High HP Damage Reduction Enemy Aggro Control

So they create %max HP damage which eliminates the efficacy of "High HP" and then, they give the champs TRUE DAMAGE, which eliminates "Damage Reduction (or mitigation)."

This leaves the tank archetype with:

Low DPS Low Mobility Enemy Aggro Control

Unless you have a taunt, or you know how to bait well, then you only have low DPS and low mobility. These aren't positive qualities. That means there is no reason to play a tank....

I am going to continue playing tanks to spite them.Nautilus Garen Sejuani Warwick Leona
