Why no champ mastery for Twisted Treeline?

It's odd that we don't get mastery on TT. While we're at it, why is there not ranked TT either? TT already has ranked teams so the fact there is no solo que is even more strange. I feel like TT has been neglected when it could be really popular. I enjoy TT maybe even more than SR, there are less people to worry about/carry, Individual skill shines through better than in a match with 10 champs (an issue many people have with climbing in league and its overall competitive scene), The lack of a true meta allows for more innovation than SR and increased viability for many champs, and most importantly, League only has one competitive map out of 4. I wouldn't say a map is competitive if it lacks solo que. Most people just play ranked 3's to mess around or try to get a border easier. I hope this is a change that comes out in season 6 as well as maybe some vision changes to TT as that 1 trinket sometimes isn't nearly enough, esp on an immobile champ. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Welcome to non-SR maps. You'll get used to it if you stick around long enough.

I'm not familiar enough with high-MMR TT to comment about viability, but TT definitely has a meta. It's less rigid than SR's, but that doesn't mean there is no established meta.

maybe some vision changes to TT as that 1 trinket sometimes isn't nearly enough, esp on an immobile champ.

There's some arguments that the trinket added too much vision and disproportionately nerfed stealth champs. Players had to actually build vision items before the trinket was added. Plus, Riot accidentally enabled wards on TT during a prior season. It was absurdly easy to light up the map with even just one ward, making gameplay boringly safe.

Along that note, TT's small enough to require fairly quick reactions from your teammates. That doesn't work too well in solo queue. Champ Mastery (for all maps) is overdue, but ranked solo queue doesn't seem like it'd turn out too well.

The game is based and balanced more around Summoner's Rift than it is the Twisted Treeline. Not only that, but the player base for the mode is not really as large (doesn't mean there are not a lot of players though :P), and they won't give it much attention mastery points wise until it gets larger.

Twisted Treeline does get it's fair share of updates though, so it is not too bad I guess.

I don't think vision there should really be changed. That is one of the charms of the Twisted Treeline, and sometimes you have to get innovative with things that give vision such as Lux 's E or Zyra 's W. Still mad they deleted {{summoner:2}} though...

Riot considers SR to be the "competitive" map. Anything measuring player ability is therefore going to be focussed on, created for and tuned around SR. It sucks for CS and TT players, but there is a reason.
