I just got called a LCS wannabe

so here's the situation we had, Irelia was our toplane in teambuilder. The match starts and i see on the loading screen that she's up against a nasus. I've seen enough irelia vs nasus matches to know that toplane was going south because try as irelia might, nasus will just shrug off any harass irelia dishes out and continue free farming. I was jinx, with a karma support up against a vayne, taric botlane. Karma is a champ with strong poke, and weak all ins, Taric is a champ with strong sustain, and good against all ins. sustain > poke. If i had to stretch my abilities we would only go even botlane. So with two lanes edging on the losing sides I knew where the game was heading before it even started, but i'm not one to Forfeit at 20 without trying something first.

I asked Irelia to switch lanes with me. All irelia asked in return was for karma to go with me.

now this is something i've never tried before. I doubt anyone on my team has tried it either. I was so nervous that i missed more Last hits than i normally did, and because of our inexperience we botched up the lane swap to a certain degree. What happened was they eventually sent vayne toplane to 1v1 me, karma going bot to support irelia, and because of my naivety i thought i could outpoke her without her going all in on me. cost me two deaths and top tower. During the early game we tied them in total gold but once midgame showed up we made a few botched team fights. and they went got a rather large gold advantage on us, but all five of us wanted to see where this would go so we dug in and surprisingly managed to ace them a few times. Now they had already taken the inhibitor so we couldn't turn this into objectives immediately but we kept at, and kept acing them, it until we got baron and killed thier nexus in one push. 46 minutes into the game.

after we finaly won the enemy nasus called us LCS tryhards and said that we didn't deserve that win.

here's the match overview for anyone who's curious. http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/1773667985/32892858?tab=overview

Never understood why someone being called any iteration of a tryhard was meant as an insult. It, among other things that I am aware of, implies that I was supposed to either allow you to kill me, or never try to get any stronger than you by farming or attempting to kill you, which is absurd. I get why they're calling you one, they lost; they couldn't adapt to your strategy and they feel particularly unskilled. But taking "tryhard" as an insult is almost as stupid as using it as an insult.

If someone calls you a tryhard, then feel proud, because you honestly tried as hard as they did regardless of what they're going to admit. No one hops onto a PvP competition to not try.
