...oooor they are having fun, despite losing, and don't want to end that fun prematurely. Some people also view losing games as a way of practicing how to deal with disadvantages. If the only reason to play is to win, then half your games on average are a waste of time.
I was playing yesterday with three people who were very abusive, and one guy who said nothing for the whole game. Me and him voted no surrender, so the other 3 quit anyway. Obviously we lost, but I actually had a lot of fun after the nasty people left. It was just me and this other guy trying to hold the enemy back for as long as we could, and I for one had a great time.
they're too busy being naruto ninjas who think they can 1v5 carry
