a ranked game
i just need to gush for a moment. I'm in silver 5 and i just had this ranked game and i'm first pick, so i pick caitlyn cause i main adc. the enemy picks darius and the next person on my team instalocks vayne to go top. he saids he wants to shit on darius through the laning phase and i ask him "and what happens after." a sensible person on my team points out that it's too late now we just have to build the team around two adcs. so the end result was caitlyne (me), leona (shot caller) bot, cho'gath mid(main tank), vayne(instalocking), and rek'sai(who prefered not to jungle but had too), against sivir, blitzcrank, le blanc, shaco, and darius. so the laning phase ends and bot lane lost to blitzcranks, mid went even, jungle made one failed gank bot, and the vayne who was so full of himself ended up 0/4/0 to daruis. Rek'sai was building damage even though we realy needed another tank. and vayne was complaining that she didn't even want to play ranked. it was at this point that the 20 min mark happened and like clockwork there was the surrender vote. I'm a proponent of never surrendering because you never know what will happen and even if defeat is imminent you can still learn something. but i'm just one person. Someone else thought we could still win.
the good news is that while i fed a few kills to bot lane i was up in cs and i could still afford my items, and during mid game and late game we were able to get 4 dragons. bad news is that everyone was almost always out too far without vision and getting picked off and losing turrets after each death. i encouraged everyone to upgrade their trinket but only cho'gath listend to me. however while we did get picked off we were still able to perform and position well in half of the team fights, that's how we were to get the only baron buff in the game, which we then wasted by being picked off again.
our leona was not dismayed we grouped up to ward our jungle and after a choatic team fight with casualties on both sides we were able to get the fifth dragon. Our inhibitors were back up, our eastern jungle was warded up, we had 2 minutes to make this buff count, and all five of the enemy team started to push mid. I laid down traps next to the inhibitor in case there was a fight there but we just stared at each other. neither wanted to break the line of scrimmage and then they disappeared into the northern jungle. I don't know how our leona knew, but she guessed that they were setting up a death bush next to the raptor camp. luckily we were all their when she five man ulted the bush, follows my cho'gath's rupture, my piltover peacemaker, and everyone else to finish them off in a beautiful ace. it was still a bloody battle and even with the five man ult we only had 3 members left alive. Cho'gath, vayne, and caitlyn. or in other words 2 adcs and a tank. the deathtimer at this moment was almost one minute so we rushed down the inner turret, inhibitor turret and nexus all in one go, chogath tanking everything. That game could not have been won without 2 adcs. the one thing i critized vayne for gave us the win.
and looking at the gold chart they were ahead the entire game. even at the end.
