Differentiating between DC'S and Leavers.

Hi my name is Jeff. Okay overused jokes aside I have a great idea to do as the title suggests. If players click the leave button, then the game detects that and shows the player as having "left the game"; but if the person just immediately get's dc'd without having actually exited via the button the game shows the player as having " Disconnected ."

Now I know there are a few loop holes in this, like people just closing the game instead either through alt + tab and closing it or task manager etc. Now this would be a lot harder to detect but the point is that for the players that do actually just rage quit by exiting through the game his/her team mates should at least be able to tell if they left or dc'd, this would help players decide a lot better as to whether they should report or not. A quick fix yes, but I think it would be helpful even if not full proof. Also I would highly suggest if you ever did actually implement something like this that you don't mention it in anyway to the community, otherwise people will start just closing the game from outside.

Nah I don't think this will work, but how about this? So as far as I know, the game and the LOLClient are two different things, at least on Mac they are. If the LOLClient is closed, the game also closes for me. So, what if Riot made it so that if connection was lost to the game server AND the LOLClient simultaneously or very close to each other, they would not get punished as severely as if they quit the game, and then the LOLClient after like a two second delay. That would help to differentiate them.
