Am I the only one who gets really salty over Hearthstone?

So, I'm fairly new tothe game, and haven't spent any money (not sure if I will.) I hit rank 18, and then, lo and behold, 3 games in a row, I get matched against people with golden heroes. If they have that, no way in hell the belong in 18. They all beat me because of their fucking bull shit cards, like Jaraxxus, where one of my strongest cards is war golem. It's like when an lcs player makes a smurf in leage, except worse. It's completely unfair. I dropped down to 20 because of this, and the amount of salt I am feeling is insane. Am I the only one who takes taht game that seriously?

You just started and you expect to go beyond rank 18? Rank 18 is considered pretty high if you JUST started.

You will float around rank 20 no doubt for a long time until you get a nice set of legendary cards. In the mean time, I suggest you visit hearthpwn.com and check out other people's deck. Pick a class to focus on getting cards for through crafting and play that.

How much strategy do you use? Do you only take it one turn in advance? Do you build decks with a decent mix of card draw, silences, high health but low power, etc?

Even simple decks can win. True, just because they CAN win doesn't mean they can win "with a reasonable rate" but I've certainly been able to weave in just the right times to play a taunt and silence just the right minions instead of just blowing everything on the first little bit of trouble I see.

If you play strictly reactionary and don't let yourself take hits every once in a while to draw out something you can neutralize and break a chain, chances are going to be you won't learn anything and you'll make more and more mistakes which only condense that feeling of helplessness.

Highest I've ever been has been this just this month and I'm only at 16. I mean, really, I'm terrible overall and I experiment too much for my own good. Fact is, there are more things at play than anyone would like to really admit or consider.
