It is just plain sad that Riot can be this mentally challenged when it comes to verbal abuse and negativity... Take a second and realize that the only things ban worthy are cheating and outright threats. I really truly believe you are just trying to piss good players off.. We have all had some games where trash talking is so much fun and being that all chat warrior can have some true great late night fun. I like many others love games like this one for the fact of the great competitive system and rankings. Part of most people's competitive fun is trash talking your opponents and your teammates. Me and my friends do it all the time, I really think it is shit that when I am yelling at the other riven about getting shit on by my sick lee sin play..I can get banned... or even perma banned.. I am just having fun. This game is turning into a protect the children's ears game. Really pathetic.. I would love to have a talk with the people in charge of this idea of banning people for trash talking and having fun... Game is turning less and less fun.

Hello, UE Graphic.

You recently made a post on my team recruitment board, and I happened to stumble upon your thread here.

If your idea of fun is to shit-talk I find that acceptable. I'd suggest you find friends that enjoy the same thing, and do just that. However; if you're shit-talking in a manner that makes someone uncomfortable then that's where the issue lies. I'm a huge advocate of freedom of expression, but I'm also a huge advocate of property rights. Everything in League of Legends, and revolving around League of Legends is owned by Riot. When you're in a game against 5 players, with 4 teammates you have to look at it like a public place (e.g. a restaurant.) Riot has every right to ban inappropriate behavior just like a McDonald's can kick you out for cussing up a storm because it's against their policy. When you created your account you signed the "I Accept" which is in response to the conduct and terms to play the game.

I personally love shit-talking, and nut-busting my friends, but the dynamic changes when dealing with people you don't know.

Because most rational people don't like being BMed?

Let me just stop you right there. Riot isn't the one reporting you, players are. If the players are not ok with your behavior, then it's not ok to do. Whether an action is punishable or not depends on the players; if they tend to report it, then it is. If not, then it isn't.

There's trash talk (light banter back and forth, slight bragging, etc.), then there's you crossing the line. Trash talk should never be between you and your teammates either, as it's intended to get people on edge.

Really, who's side is Riot supposed to take? The compromise is warning you that you're taking it too far. Whether you agree or not is irrelevant; enough people have been made upset by your behavior for action to be taken. If you don't comply, you get punished further. It's really simple.

If you are playing with friends then is obvious that it's ok. I trash talk and rage with my friends all the time. It's ok because they won't report me. When you are with stranger it's a different story. They have no idea who you are, nor your intentions! What you might think as playful and joking could hurt someone. All they are asking you to be is considerate towards people you don't know!
