3 Months Later......

3 months after I stopped playing League.......

Random Friend: Dude you should totally play League again. New season has come.

Me: No. I stopped playing League too frustrating. Too much griefing and poor community. Waiting for Heroes of the Storm.

Random Friend: But all games are frustrating. Besides, neeeew season.

Me: Nothing has changed; the Season doesn't matter. Just going to wait for Heroes, thanks.

Random Friend: At least look at the site to see what they've updated man.

Me: Alright, fine.

So I looked through the news since I left (8/7/14 was the last time I played). So you've had the Shurima and Halloween Events, and Riot put out a few more nice cinematics - holy crap! Did someone just straight cut Sivir's boobs off?! Hey, thats a pretty nice Shyvanna skin, and Kha'zik finally got a new skin! Wait, the new SR isn't out yet? Wasn't that in Beta even before I left? Are you guys whittling it out of wood or something? Hmm....I don't see thing anything about improved community experience or Tribunal.

Particularly that last one is what gets me. How can Riot 3 months later, after so much went down this Season about bad community, not have an upgrade Tribunal and anti-griefer system come out. It seemed like when I left if it was going to happen, THIS was going to be the year it happened. I could've maybe come around to re-installing the game if I saw something had been done about the more toxic elements of the community, but seeing that it is likely as soul-crushing and nasty as before, why would I? Heroes goes into open Beta in 2 months so I get the chance to actually help set the tone for the community, and Blizzard is much stricter on griefers and negative attitude than Riot is meaning the trash will likely get cleaned up much more quickly.

I'm actually kind of amazed Riot keeps people around with how brutal the community in this game is.
