Hello all,

So I have recently started playing LoL as my main game. Play around 2-4 matches on weeknights, and as many as I can squeeze in on the weekends. I know I will never have the time to devote to this game to be a serious player, but that being said I want to be able to enjoy myself and contribute to my team in a meaningful way.

So far I have played a bit of everything and have not really found the champ or position that really feels right. I generally have been doing the 5v5 blind pick and just picking up whatever spot no one else wants. I feel that I have the general ideas of the game down, but could use some help with finer points, such as when to push a lane or fight under a tower, when should I go all in on a gank, when should I join a teamfight or when should I just farm a side lane, where should I be warding, etc.

If anyone is around that would like to help a new player that is anxious to learn please let me know, I have a headset and can DL whatever voice programs you prefer. I really don't have any friends in game yet, but would love to get to know some people to make some premade teams or something. So even if you are still learning like me, if you are willing to put in the effort to get better please drop me a line as well and maybe we can learn together. Well I guess that about covers it, thanks in advance to anyone that responds, and have a great day. :)

My best advice, would be to mainly find a role and stick with it for atleast 3 games, see if you like it, then try another. Personally, I like everyone role except ADC, but I found the most fun in supporting. Everyone is different and everyone has different synergy with different champions so if a champ is free, take advantage because you might find you really like them. Also, with league especially on summoner's rift, the games can be really long. Make sure you pace your self, 2-4 games a day can be a lot! Also, the best advice I think most people can give, is have fun. It sounds corny, but I enjoy playing league when I support more than I do going top or mid (most of the time), so play support more and get better. Also, if you want to learn a lot about how to play, read up on mobafire. They provide builds for every champ that the community votes on, and usually the top builds explain where to ward, match-ups and counters, item builds and why they work, what to max for various champions first, and really whatever else. Eventually, you'll get the hang of it. If I could give one piece of advice, it is to not give up on a specific role after 1 game. I tried jungling as Zed at first and got completely crushed, but after a few games with different junglers I can jungle fairly comfortably without getting executed at Blue Buff. Enjoy league, but seriously, 2-4 games is a lot, and the game is really more fun when it is played more balanced IMO. Oh ya, here is a link to my favorite guide on mobafire (for my favorite champion) http://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/build/r-i-v-e-n-not-easily-broken-solo-top-260813 .
