I'm talking about the special border that appear around skins like the First Strike and Vintage and Elementalist. Are they skin specific, only appearing when the skin is used or do they appear all the time? Thanks in advance.
Riotmoonstones3 votesThese are skin specific. For example, if you're using Elementlist Lux and you have the Origin border, you will only see it when you're using Elementalist Lux. It will not display if you're using base Lux (or any other champion).
Origin and first Strike borders were given to players who made the skin purchase at launch. Legacy borders were given to players who purchased a batch of what we had deemed 'limited skins', but we then changed them to legacy. All borders listed here (except Origin) are no longer available to receive. The Origin border will not longer be available when purchasing the skin after December 13th

Alright I thought so. Thanks. While we're on the subject, is it just me or does the top part of the Elementalist border seem too light to the point where it's very difficult to see compared to the bottom part of the border?
Riotmoonstones2 votesPersonally, I don't think so. The crop of the border was actually incorrect for this patch; it was getting cut off (and should be good in 6.24). The bottom part of the border is much more visible. We felt the bottom was a better focal point because a good portion of the top begins to get cut off with ranked borders.

I guess that we'll just have to agree to disagree on this point as I personally feel that all parts of these special borders should be visible while still not cutting off the ranked borders as well.
