Riot, frustration with Mastery 6 and 7 concerning blue essence.

Thanks for Hextech Crafting, by the way, and I'm fine with it tying into Champion Mastery. I think it's a good use of an existing system that can help reward people who already have all of the champions by letting them use otherwise worthless things.

Now speaking as someone with several champions at Mastery 5 and who also owns all of the champions, I would like to be able to break down champion shards in a more efficient manner. Let me explain: I've currently earned boxes whenever they're up, opening 9 so far. Thankfully, only 2 have been champion shards, and with the announcement of this system, I hoped to be able to use them to improve the mastery level of a champion or two. I'm currently sitting on a Cho'Gath and Malzahar shard (neither are even close to 5 yet), so it seems like disenchanting them should let me do something like that. Unfortunately, Cho would give me 195 and Malz 293, making me 12 essence out of 500 short for being able to use them for this. Why can't you adjust either the essence gained or required to a more reasonable number, rather than making me get a whole other champion shard for the 12 points to advance someone past 5? There's no reason to have essence costs set like that.

I know you're planning to help this problem by letting (random?) champion shards be purchased for IP, but it's still frustrating and a disservice to your customers. I understand that RP pricing is set at similarly odd numbers to encourage people to buy when theirs is low and leave psychologically uncomfortable remainders, but why would you do this for something that should feel good for players?

Please think about this.
