Desert Bus For Hope 9 -- Riot pls?

Hey Rioters, boards, random other folks passing by, I've got a thing I'd just like to promote called "Desert Bus For Hope".

For those not in the know, it's a donation fundraiser thing wherein a very talented group of folks plays the most boring game created, Desert Bus (from Penn and Teller's Smoke and Mirrors collection on Genesis) which entails driving a bus through the desert for about 10 hours. If you successfully do this, driving in more-or-less real time from Tuscon to Las Vegas, you score one point and turn around to do it all over again. The bus slowly edges to one side and requires you to hold down the gas pedal meaning it takes a bit of thought to keep in line and prevent the bus from going off the side of the road and crashing, which then (in real time) requires you to be towed back to your last "chckpoint" of either Tuscon or Las Vegas, again, all in real time.

In order to break tedium, the Loading Ready Run crew do silly improv challenges, donation challenges, auctions and various other silly and fun activities all while someone keeps the Bus moving (this year on 8-hour shifts). The more people donate and reach new goals, the longer they continue the marathon up. As of this posting, the Desert Bus crew is going to be going for 128 hours (has been going for almost 16 hours so far). No breaks, all the silliness, and best of all

Every dollar raised goes to the Child's Play Charity to help sick kids in hospitals.

For all you normal folks, you can come, bid on neat giveaways that feature things like crafted items, swag from everything from Earthbound to Magic the Gathering to Minecraft (and other games), and even donate to see the insanity that unfolds after hours of playing the Most Boring Game Ever.
