Cassiopeia vs Ahri

I am a normal player, level 26(Almost 27) and i play with my silver friends a lot. They always annoy me because they say leblanc is to OP and that I need someone to get. I have enough ip to buy any champion, and right now I am debating:Ahri or Cass. I am planning to play these mid laners in ranked to.

ahri is more generalist and works well in any team comp

Cass requires good meatshields to function, but if you do get a good team set up you can carry much harder than ahri can.
