Why build tank?
My best example is Vi. Why should I bother building tank when I get one shot? (overstatement, you say? okay, three shot sorry I lied) QQ

Because if you don't dive in like a moron 1v5. you're beefy enough to survive, and be a disruptor. And if you get focussed, you buy your team some time. Being able to get multiple Q's out might be the main thing though
