man what kind of people are you playing with?!

You don't need to be nice to those people, you just need to mute and report. It really does work wonders for my game enjoyment when I just mute the toxic one.

When people start stuff, just mute and report them in the end.

But when you find someone whos nice, say hello and conversate. :) Find a group of people who are nice and just have fun.

The quickest way to halt verbal abuse in its tracks is to mute them. Don't let them keep bothering you. Do not respond or even tell them they are muted either. You can report them at the end, too.
