Autofilled when trying to support makes no sense

If support is by far the least liked role, why isn't there an option so that you can't get filled. Like I understand putting a secondary role when mid is your primary, but if support is your primary I don't think it makes sense to get your secondary role. Maybe I'm just stupid idk.
