Does anyone use a hotspot to play league?

I live in a rural part of town and i cant play league during the evening because of how bad my ping gets with my satellite internet

i was wondering if any of you guys play league with a hotspot like the Verizon Jetpack or something along the sorts. If you do play on a hotspot do you run out of data quickly? and how is the connection in game?
