Good lulu ult.

So I was in a match the other hour (bronze II) and was playing lulu mid. A team fight started and I decided to ult our nautilus support. He was the closes in, tanky and was in a position to knock up the most people.

Post team fight my team decides to lecture me that I should have ulted our draven adc. I told them I usually ult the tanks/divers. They kept insisting that I should have ulted the the adc. Then they proceeded to tell me that them main focus in team fights is to keep the adc alive. I don't know if I am just ignorant but shouldn't the adc position himself in a way that he doesn't need my ult. The draven even said himself that he was going to die anyways if I did ult him.

So yeah. That's it. I wan't to know if I have been doing something wrong with lulu ulting the tanks/divers all the time or should I just go with what they say and only save my ult for the adc. That last part sounded soooo wrong to me. Seems like a waste unless we are extremely behind.

Probably would ult adc because its in the name, the team will do ap damage and they will carry the attack damage hence the name adc, so being that the team should have enough ap more ad would probably be best, tanks are already tanky and a 300 health boost is better on a squishy adc to make a huge difference as opposed to a tank who is already hella tanky lol but yeah go for adc ult I'd say

It's always a difficult situation when multiple people need your ult; in almost all situations, the heal is more useful than the knock-up CC, so Nautilus should've only been ulted if he needed the health. However, there actually isn't much use for him once he uses his burst, so it's also important to consider whether the knock-up was useful in that situation.

You stated that the adc died in the fight; he definitely would've been the better choice to ult if 1-2 fighters pounced on him - more people than that and he wouldn't be saveable, nor if he died from a ranged burst/DPS. If most of the enemy team collapsed on him, you should not have been expected to ult him as the error lied somewhere else, which you might have avoided by ulting someone else and preserving the team.

It really depends on the situation. If the ult is causing a lot of knockup and disruption that will let your team get kills it is better, otherwise it is best to save for low HP targets, especially carries, because enemies will overextend to kill them and your ult plus shield can make that a kill in your favour while keep a carry alive.

I would say that it is best to hold on to the ult and use it for saves rather than for initiation most of the time.

Thanks for the advice. I'll be sure to save my ult for the adc next time, then.
