Don't play ranked between 3 and 7 PM on a weekday unless you want massive variance to hinder ELO.

If you want to advance the ladder, the influx of horrible players coming off of school makes winning a game or not a crap shoot. The only thing that 'carries' is wombo, and champions that normally can carry fine when your team isn't doing well, but doesn't have clinical brain damage are simply bad as it's whoever's baddies get ahead first so the entire other team loses spirit. It doesn't mean you can't advance, only it's going to take an absurdly longer amount of time as your skill simply means less.

The people who advance to Silver and Gold primarily playing at this time are in a completely different ELO in reality than people who play later in the night who are vastly superior. The people who primarily play with the high variance 12 year olds just getting off of school should actually be in Silver 5 or high Bronze at best. Stop playing with them and play later in the day when their parents put their idiotic children asleep who shouldn't be allowed on the internet.

You'll enjoy a lot more games without endless frustration that your teammate decides to farm 4 creeps over taking a free baron while the enemy is down as our AD did last game
