What use is there in pretending like I'm playing a 4v5 so I don't get banned Riot?

Furthermore, what's the use of giving 5 people free ELO because they were lucky enough not to have a DC? While I think Riot's reasons for not having a loss prevention system for this are complete garbage and just an excuse for them to do nothing to a very serious problem, fine, just give the 4v5 team the loss and let me leave the game without penalty so I can move on with my life. I don't want to sit in a game for 20 or god forbid 40 minutes with almost zero chance of success simply to avoid a ban. Many of us have jobs and things we choose to do outside of League of Legends and cannot afford to waste a precious 20 to 60 minutes of our lives in a stupid farce so we don't get a 60+ game leaver buster ban.
