I used to be a toxic flamer

I now learned that the best way to deal with people who insult you is not to reply, as tempting as it is. I remember myself stating to people to uninstall and simply "you f@#!ing suck", :"f#$@ you", or "stfu." This is big change for me, and it made games more enjoyable. Rather than blaming teammates, I try and help them.

It is definitely possible to stop being toxic, even if the game itself can be seriously frustrating.

It's hard to not rage in a game. If it wasn't, we wouldn't have a toxicity issue.

This is the mindset I wish everyone would have. If people are insulting you it's better to not reply, but it's not hard to not rage. Getting upset is one thing, but choosing to rage at someone is entirely different.

I was expecting something like 'but then I took a pun to kidney' or something; but glad to see some reform [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]
