Champion Selection Improvement

We need a solution to the problem of failed trades (other than "Don't afk during champ select").

What I propose is an option to initiate trades at any time during champion selection. If both players accept the trade, then, after all players have chosen their champions, the trade will happen automatically.

The application could even prompt players who have pre-agreed to trade to select a champion for their trade partner (Players who are in the habit of always choosing the same champion may mistakenly select their regular champion instead of their trade partner's champion).

What do you guys think? Comments are appreciated, as is any help you can muster in getting a red's attention.

Thanks!

Background: In ranked champion selection, players sometimes agree to trade champions. This agreement is often made before either player ever selects their champion. The trade requires both players to pick champions, and then, after all selections have been made, initiate and complete the trade.

The problem is that players sometimes minimize the application after making their selection. This is a habit formed and reinforced in games where the player is not making a trade, where it is not so costly for them to minimize (imo, players shouldn't minimize, as the team should be using the champ select time to discuss strategy. To each their own...). Minimized players often forget to trade their champions, resulting in failed trades, and oftentimes, lost games. On top of this, such games are extremely frustrating for the losing team, resulting in a negative experience for 5 people for at least 20 minutes.
