My goal this year is to get placed in gold in next seasons placements

I never want to be silver again, much less BRONZE I like the beginning of this season after finishing preseason in gold 3... How high u gotta end to be placed in gold typically? I know this is premature as the season wont end for like 9 months still, but I'm just wondering :)

A friend of mine ended last season diamond 5, and placed into high gold. I'd guess mid-high plat would give you a decent shot at landing in gold out of placements. Low plat might still risk placement into high silver. I'm silver 1 right now, and do commonly see teammates with plat borders who are currently in high silver/low gold.
