High elo please explain
So I can play AP Hec pretty well. I one shot enemy carries....usually the adc so they can't just keep laying tons of damage. Why is this not used in hgiher elos? What is the downfall to it?

Because you'll get blown up, and if you get behind you'll stay behind.
Why don't you think about the question yourself? Tank: Can tank more (duh) Can do more damage over time Has plenty of burst depending on your items and who you are attacking Won't get blown up if you ult in Can play as a frontline Can clear faster AP: Good burst
ap hec works in part cuz its unexpected... meaning he typically does physical damage... and most adc carries dont build alot of magic resist... and they have a base mr of 30 that dont scale and if they run mr runes at best 9 flat mr runes for +12 so 42 but that is rare now days... and they typically are squishy and have no hard cc so is basically catching them off guard ... in higher elos , with smarter more aware players the will use the tab menu often to see who is building what and win and adjust their builds accordingly so they would be prepared for it
