Getting rid of toxicity in ranked.

Everyone knows that toxicity in league is at a ridiculous level, its hard to do much about it but I have an idea of how to remove it from ranked. Basically, if someone gets reported a certain number of times in a set amount of time (25 reports in 2 weeks for example). If this happens that person get relegated to wood (need a better name). It works just like just normal ranked when you have to get 100 points to get to promotions.. If you make it out you go back to the rank you were before.

Why do people think a punishment system is going to remove toxicity? There are tens of millions of people playing this game. On any given day you're going to have 10's of thousands having a bad day and being toxic in some form or another. Punishing people does nothing to help those affected by toxicity.

From an admittedly toxic person(for 4 years now), implement a solution that fixes the problem, not punishes the source. I couldn't care less about being 'punished'. It just means I have more time to do uni stuff. If you want people to care less about my toxicity(and as a result, have a happier population), stop letting us toxic people have such a huge effect on the game.

I honestly wish in terms of priority it would get rid of AFK's and Rage Quitters first, then try to tackle toxicity.

I honestly disagree with the amount of toxicity here. It's really not that high in my case. But that's because when others rage at me, I ignore them or dont say anything back. I find that that does a great job in stopping a rager right in his tracks.

I think that ignoring is the best way to end toxicity, and I honestly think the system in place for punishments is just fine as it is.

I know that it works. I've seen it work. The problem is, not enough people report. There are times when I forget to report after the game, and if me, someone who feels very strongly about getting rid of the toxicity, forgets to do it, I'm sure a lot of other people can either forget to do it or just don't do it because they don't think it does anything.

The problem with such a system - assuming that there's not a complete overhaul of the way the report system itself works - is that it puts power directly into the hands of trolls.
