Xayah and Rakan got me to play league again after quitting over a year ago
quick background on me: I picked up League at the near end of Season 3 (Zac had just been released), and I played religiously for years. I reached plat by season 5, but I eventually got bored of the game and uninstalled it at the end of season 6.
Life was quiet after. Fast forward to a few days ago and a new champion reveal on the skin spotlights youtube channel caught my eye, so I clicked. I fell in love instantly. Xayah looked perfect for me, and that she was dual-released with another champion made to work with her was something I thought was really cool. You really knocked this one out of the park Riot, I really believe that. ** Also, here are some things I've noticed/am curious about since my return:**
The new client. This new client is weird. like reeeeeaaaaaaally weird. And why is it when you go to the store and click on a champion, we don't get a list of skin portraits in the bottom left anymore? I really liked that feature man...
Wards. What happened? where are sight wards, or I guess they were renamed stealth wards. WHERE'D THEY GO? WHAT'RE THESE CONTROL WARD THINGS?
Galio. Here I was playing the game, when this giant hunk of glowing rock with wings appeared. I thought it was a new champion, but when I searched the new releases, I couldn't find anything. Needless to say I became very puzzled, until my brother told me it was Galio. I'm still coming to terms.
Ivern. I know I came back for Xayah and Rakan (mostly Xayah), but goddamn. This guy is my spirit animal.
Camille. F^ck this champion. That is all. No, its not actually. Like, what the f^ck is this abomination? I searched up her patch history, and she's gotten nerfed just about every patch since her release! she even had to get hotfixed! WTH!?
We still have 6 bans, which I'm kind of amazed by. I thought Riot would have caved by now and given 10 bans like everyone was asking for.
The boards are different! where are Malicious Metal? and Laughing Fish? and A Superb Villain? And Admiral __ (forgot the last part). WHERE ARE THE MEMELORDS??
