I have a bit of a problem with the Snowdown Shop...

When I have a skin for almost all the champions in there it's slightly irritating. Why doesn't Riot make it an increased chance to get one for a champion you don't have a skin for. I understand they wanted to make it based on the champs you play a fair bit, but I don't think it works as well.

I know that feel. I have Blood Moon Shen and Yellow Jacket Shen in the shop, yet I already have Surgeon Shen. And both Shen skins are the seventy percent discount ones.

Well who says that they don't do that and you just got unlucky?

I think even if you had skins for these champs these would be great ones to add.

But what about those of us who have a skin already, but a new one has come out since we bought that skin. ** Just as an example.** If i had bought elderwood bard when it came out, but i would really like snow day bard. now my chances to get a skin i want are down.

Yea I have a similar situation. 4/5 I have skins for that champion already.

It does kinda help for skin collectors. Y'know, ones that one every skin of one champ. Kinda like me when I'm trying to get every Tristana and Rumble skin

its like they have favorite champions that they want us to play. XP

I have the same issue, but I haven't really seen fit to complain about it. It's free sales. All the skins there (or that could have potentially been there) will go on regular sale, so they aren't hampering your ability to get the skins you want in any way.

This is, and has always been, a ploy. Riot's goal here is to get people to buy skins that they otherwise wouldn't, so they make money even if they sell the skins at a "discount." That was always the plan. That's what the Snowdown Shop is.

And honestly, that's great! It's great for Riot and it's great for the community, in general! It isn't great for me, and it isn't great for you, and that's okay. We missed out on this deal, this time, because we're the kind of people that have more specific skin desires. I didn't expect Riot to adjust for that, and it's honestly not a problem. The resources to get a "better" algorithm would not have been worth the effort/money invested. Hard to blame them for that, isn't it?

it's based on champs you play a lot? it didn't offer me a skin for any of my top 8 played champions D: (nvm i forgot the one MF skin in there D:)

I can't figure out what it's supposed to be based on but I don't think they even based it on the champs you play.

I got nearly all ashe skins, who is one of the three ADCs I play, but not nearly as much as I play supports and mages, and who I haven't played since they ruined her identity in the last update. Seriously, who needs a utility/disruption character whose utility and disruption sucks until 20+ minutes of farming? Nobody that's who.

The only other, two rumble skins. I've owned rumble a month, and played him like five or so times.
