Sorry for posting something relative to this topic for the 1,000,000th time...
So I can't help noticing some similarities between these new champion animation that have been popping up.
In all 4 cases of these champion "death" scenes, the bullet appears to pierce the location of the champion's internal conflict. Zed's was his eye, perhaps because he is blinded by his hunger for power. Sona is mute but she most likely wants to be heard by those around her as a person, not just an instrument. Therefore, the bullet pierced her throat. Garen wants to find a fitting opponent which he might face of against. He finds that Katarina is a worthy opponent, but he is also madly in love with her. Therefore the bullet pierced his heart. Lastly, Vi is a keeper of peace in Piltover. However, Vi is also a very violent person who somewhat contradicts herself quite often. As is apparent in her lore, she is pretty much a vigilante, who - before her job as a "police officer" - went around stealing from other criminals. So she is very internally conflicted. The bullet appears to puncture her chest, but it also seems to have made her gauntlets fall off, this symbolizes her being weak and helpless without her gauntlets, another thing she may be conflicted about.
