I spent my ip on lee sin and was disappointed. I like kog maw but i think his ult is too hard to hit people with. I like the idea of an assassin who does not jungle, like zed who is a mid lane assassin. Is zed still good? Who is the best assassin right now that does not jungle? I don't have a job so after I get this champion I won't be able to get one for a long time.

You can get champions with IP which is free if you just play the game, so its not really a big problem if you don't have money to spent on league.
Instead of picking who is good at the meta currently just play what you like, when you get to level 30 and want to start playing rank more seriously then you start being a meta slave :c
For now just be wild and free and play whatever you want. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs] But if you must know who is good statiscally at the moment. You can use champion.gg to figure it out. Its a data site that use Plat+ rank games to figure out the statistic of each champions.
Jax is a fairly cheap, EXTREMELY HIGH single target damage dealer, typically played in top or jungle. I prefer top. He has an interesting kit, and like Kog Maw builds off attack speed (though almost any item works for him). He is very versatile. Due to his abilities, he can be anything from a tank to an assassin to a bruiser to a battle mage to a jungler to an ADC (you'd have to buy

, but the result is almost a crime), really anything but a support, and if you really set your mind to it, that might work, too.

Zed is still EXTREMELY good, if you can play him that is, he is always banned, so it's very rare to get a chance to own with him.
Lot's of assassins are quite good at the moment, or just in general pretty good choices.

The only issue is most the champs i listed are quite expensive and will take some grinding to get, buuut that should not stop you c:
Honestly just pick Akali she is a straight noob stomper lv 6+ and honestly you just need one item to murder everyone. She is kinda bad early and can get poked out so idk if u will like her tho. She is however by far one of the easiest assassins in this game once you get rolling so hey maybe.[slayer-jinx-wink]
zed is my go to assassin, but you reaaaaally need the right runes and masteries or it feels really clunky.
