My phone internet connection is way better than my home connection. Yesterday I thought maybe I could play League using my phone as a router. But before doing so, I was wondering how much a game would weigh, since I only have 20 GB allowed each month. Just curious. Does anyone have an idea?
Maximum Morde1 votesIt's a terrible idea. Mobile networks are prone to lag spikes. They are very nice for most things, with high throughput, and sometimes even low latency(mines like 30ms to large portions of us servers) but are prone to temporary interruption on the order of half a second to a second. You wouldn't notice that Web browsing or streaming, but in gaming it's going to fuck you.

Yes I can guess that. But do you have an idea about the size of datas?
Maximum Morde1 votesNot for league no. Some other games I've played have used very little, on the order of less than a mb per minute. Some have used more. If you want to test it, just download a bandwidth monitoring software and play a few matches with it running to see. I doubt league uses too terribly much if you are just casually playing though.
